What is clear, though, from the photograph and the report of the captain's announcement, that BA is still selling as many tickets as it can and is only observing social distancing if it has not sold too many tickets to to enable it to do so. Clearly, there needs to be legislation to force airlines to maintain social distancing, just as cafes, restaurants and shops have to.
Let's be clear: social distancing on a plane is not only impossible, it's pointless. There's plenty of evidence, in simulations, for that. And as far as I know there's no legislation on it at least in
Europe.
