So many people here also stated that those GCs are not good for everyone and every situation. It is always YMMV situation. I've laid out the pros and cons.

I'm surprised that if you get many more millions of miles and hotel points, you still want to buy those Marriott GCs. I figure you save those hotel points for future use.

With all my hotel free night award nights, travel packages, and millions of Marriott and Hyatt & Hilton points, I do not see I'll ever need to spend any cash for the near future, even if travel starts in earnest. If I ever need to buy those GCs, I'll just use them to pay the "resort fees" Marriott imposes on us.
