I get it, you're looking for a freebie - OK. But you acknowledge reading the certificate; what happens at the airport will happen regardless of what a reservations agent tells you. Even if s/he was figure out some way to upgrade you prior to arrival at the airport (I don't see it), it would still be incumbent upon you to have the proper ticket/payment/certificate or be relegated right back to your correct cabin of purchase.
