Just adding an additional data point confirming some of the above. I opened a new Citi AA Plat Select card in April with a statement date of May 12. The mile additions were posted to my Advantage account today with a May 12 date. The entire amount of purchases on the statement were added to my million miles including one purchase in April. My signup bonus of 60,000 miles and bonus miles for AA ticket were not added to million miles.
