Ive stayed at this property a number of times, as recently as early March. Reading the article it’s not clear what the status of the management contract was. It’s understandable that the owner would make this move to save $ in an uncertain time. No weddings and no business travel, which likely are a large source of revenue at this property mean ongoing losses for the foreseeable future. I’m not thinking this property could be repurposed for anything else. My guess is that the owner are either looking to sell the property or will bring in a new management company when business picks back up.

The hotel doesn’t seem available for some random dates in May and June, but there are rooms bookable in July.
