Indeed it does, which makes way more sense if this is mostly about restaurants.

I think Bank of America might be starting their mass rollout of contactless cards. They now show the contactless icon on their non-cobranded credit cards.
On my online banking, my Cash Rewards CC is showing an activate button as though a new card is arriving for me. I'm not sure if that actually means I'm getting a new card, though. We'll see soon in any case.
