I was unaware that a friend of mine had rented a vehiclde from hertz with a fraudulant ID. Although to be honest i dont think it would have mattered at the time if i knew or not, just to be honest. well, needless to say that she kept the rental past the due date and hertz reported the car to the police. well one evening on our way to target we got pulled over and im pretty sure the entire station was there there were so many cops. Anyway all of belongings were in the back of the car and the car got impounded. and my friend went to jail....HOW DO I GET MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS FROM THE VEHICLE? OBVIOUSLY SINCE MY FRIEND ISNT THE PERSON ON THE ID HERTZ SEEMS TO THINK THEY CAN KEEP THE PERSONAL BELONGINGS OF PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE. HERTZ HAS CONFIRMED THAT MY BELONGINGS ARE IN LOST AND FOUND BUT THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THE PERSON WHO RENTED THE CAR NEEDS TO BE PRESENT WITH THEIR ID AND SINCE IT WAS RENTED UNDER FRAUDULANT ID THEY SEE NO WAY OF BEING ABLE TO RELEASE THE PROPERTY.
