That is a good point, although with PPS status paid tix arent any problem (any waitlists usually clear except maybe on the heaviest business routes).

Of course if you want to upgrade then only KF miles and DL miles work so crediting miles to other *A FFP is no help. The very rare op-ups being the exception of course.
