no one here represents Chase. If you want an authoritative answer, don’t ask here... only Chase can give it to you. And as WineCountryUA correctly explains, the answer from a customer service rep may not necessarily be accurate in all cases, and whether you can later convince Chase to stand behind that answer is.... unknown.
Also not clear to me if “I specifically told them my annual fee had been waived” means that you specifically asked “does the AF waiver on the old card count as a bonus that disqualifies me from receiving the bonus on this new card” or whether it was just casually mentioned as part of your message.
