Still, even if proven, confiscating OP’s 2M bought points (or whatever is left of it) based on the 250k non-compliance appears to be a pretext, and disproportionate.
IHG could have done a manual rectification of its refund errors.
Confiscating all the points appears to be a land grab.
But I have no new remedies. IHG is still daring OP to file in small claims.
If no-one else has a better idea, OP should get going. He can ignore further comments here. Perhaps he will be so kind to update us of his small claims progress until he’s bound by the inevitable NDA as part of settlement.
