If you booked through a third-party, you need to make your request for a refund to the third-party. Copa will properly deny your refund as they did not sell you a ticket.
1. Seek a refund from the vendor. Do it in writing and keep copies or screenshots.
2. Wait 7 days and if you have been denied a refund or have not heard back, initiate a chargeback with your credit card issuer (bank) and file a DOT complaint.
When you file your chargeback, be certain that you submit a copy of your e-ticket receipt, the notice of cancellation, your request for a refund, and any denial (or a note from you that you have not heard back). The DOT complaint is important because DOT will require a response and it is hard to deny a refund to the agency enforcing US law when US law requires a refund.
If you do this in order and supply everything, you should see a temporary credit in very short order (sometimes as little as a day) and that credit will become permanent soon thereafter.
