The good news is she got the $550 back. Some airlines are fighting any dollar amounts.

I have no idea how things work if you do not have an account set up with them. I would consider going online yourself and setting up a RapidRewards account. Then, after a few days, call in and get that flight connected to his account to make things easier later. Yes the name on the original ticket and the RR account have to be the same. You will need the PNR code before you call... that funny thing looking like SPQ6NU or something like that.

Meanwhile... I did not know you could find a ticket that expensive with WN - LOL!
