Total and utter nonsense and a downright lie.

We were appointed moderators, and in that capacity we moderate. Ignoring threads that are duplicates or are completely and utterly unrelated to anything that has to do with travel is not in our job description, even if they are posted by a "Flyertalk Legend".

We are very liberal in the description of what is and is not travel related and moved several threads from different members, we also issued warnings to members that were posting remarks about Doc and his posts.

The whole "anti-doc" thing is quite franky boring and IMHO insulting to me, I don't CARE who posts something, if it doesn't belong there then it gets moderated; plain and simple.

Before we took ANY action we discussed the matter with our fellow moderators and we got enough support for these actions, so there is no secret anti-doc movement, as much as some would like to belieive. Doc is not the "victim" here, he's just another member that picked the wrong forum to post his news in, something many posters do every day. Just because stuff like this wasn't moved in the past doesn't mean we should keep it like that.
