So you can choose either a specific airline for incidentals, or choose Amex Travel for anything they sell (or even only airfare). I would almost certainly use that option if it was available...not holding my breath though!
I've hoped for that for a few years; IMO it would be a natural extension of the credits since some of those funds stay in-house, and would give Plat cardholers some nice flexibility in using their $200 more comparable to the competition (read: CSR). Fingers crossed!
