Yeah, that fact that the instruments and miles are not ours and have no value is good for all of us who travel for business, otherwise we would have to pay taxes on all of the rebated miles via reduced expense deductions. I don't want that ever! The IRS would love it if every flyer had a little bank account of miles and instruments that were "owned" by the flyer and therefore taxable.
