Zone 1: J, SE
Zone 2: PY, *G,
Zone 3: Latitude, E35K, P25K
Zone 4: *S, Comfort, preferred seats, credit cards
Zone 5-6: non-basic non-status Y
Zone 7: Basic Economy
I could go for something like that too.

Fair, but unless the existing zones are being used to enforce this, they might as well just combine all non-basic non-status non-special Y into one.

One argument I can see is that if you're an SE MM in J, your status really isn't doing anything for boarding. But like I've said in reference to UA's system, I don't think a 1K (or SE or MM) in Y should board ahead of my mom in J. With her, fine. But not ahead.
I could potentially see an argument for putting MM in zone 1, but I'm not even sure that makes sense. 1MM gives you E50K, and all the benefits (like boarding zone) that entails. 3MM gives you zone 1.
If you want to argue that SEMM should be before J, I might agree with that, but I still think I'd rather do something for SEs in J, where their status isn't actually getting them any boarding priority.
