let’s say you have accumulated $1000 in travel bank funds, and then you want to buy a $400 ticket. As far as I know, you can’t choose to pay only part of the price with the travel bank funds. AS will apply as much as possible, in this case $400.. A “workaround” would be to temporarily use $700 of the $1000 for a refundable dummy ticket (24 hr cancellation should work) to artificially reduce the travel bank balance before buying your actual $400 ticket with the remaining $300 + $100 credit card funds.
