True, Notquiteaff, once it's in MyWallet, there's no need to keep the emails with the serial number & PIN!
My bad, that was not a good example. The problem only arises when you have multiple certificates. Say you have two $300 certificates and one $400 new ticket to buy. If they are kept as certificates, you can pay $100 with a credit card and use only one certificate. But if they are both deposited into MyWallet, then you either use $400 out of the $600 wallet fund, or you charge $400 to credit card and leave the wallet untouched.
So if you have only one certificate (and probably won't have more in the future), then it makes little difference. Or if you have nothing to gain by charging a credit card for the new ticket, it makes little difference as well.
For me, I book and cancel AS tickets very often, so if I deposit all the refunds into MyWallet, I'd rack up a lot money in there and have no way to spend them while keeping my credit card involved for the insurance. So I keep all cancelled tickets as certificates.
