Another option is to also use the S-bahn, U-bahn but I'm not sure I want to do this with my 2 kids in tow and luggage. I did this in London and it was a hassle.
Just FYI, everything is more modern in Munich, so all stations have elevators & getting on/off w/ luggage is a lot easier in Munich than in London.
