I didn't include it in my list beacuse firstly it was apparently only ever a military airfield and also is technically located outside Berlin.
And yes it is a fine place for mountain-biking: we have to look very hard for mountains around here, should call it "slight-elevation-biking" instead really.
We are getting far OT here, but accessing the runway side (rather than the barracks side, which is locked) is relatively easy, if you have a 4WD or bicycle and willing to drive through about 4kms of forest. Once you are there, you notice complete silence, except for the wind and birds.
