Your best chance IMO is to call the hotel to see if they can move the reservation while keeping the certificate attached. If the hotel is closed when you want to travel it might be an easier sell ... if open, I think you are you pretty much out of luck. Going through Marriott reservations is unlikely going to get you a desirable outcome.
