Looking at booking MCE for a 788 CUN flight around Christmas. It has PE on the plane available, and I'm wondering what happens if AA reassigns another aircraft (say a 738 or 321) without a PE-style MCE. I'd pay $70 for a PE seat, but would just take my chances as Gold at T-24 if it was the standard extra legroom seat. Per their paid seat conditions:

American Airlines reserves the right to assign or reassign a Main Cabin Extra or a Preferred seat at any time, for operational, safety or security reasons. In situations where this occurs and you're not reseated into a like seat you will be eligible for a refund.
How do they define the bolded part? I would assume that moving from a physical PE seat to a physical Y seat would be the literal definition of not a like seat, but with AA you never know so I want to confirm first.

Thanks!
