A good friend in Vegas believes that the casinos will use the reopening of their casino floors under COVID as a lever to finally ban smoking in the entire building. Can't smoke if you have a mask on. And the constant cleaning/replacing of ash trays is a labor-intensive piece that they'd like to eliminate, using the cover of protecting their staff via social distancing.
I still don't know how a dealer can be protected in COVID conditions, given how easy it is for the virus to reside on the surfaces of playing cards and chips.
Can't drink, either. Are they going to go without bars and cocktail waitresses? Somehow, I doubt customers will be asked to wear masks... maybe they should, but how would that really work??
