TWA is correct, however the aircraft type was not a DC-9-10. Since there are a couple other plausible possibilities, I'll leave this one open.

LNK: Both FL and UA operated the 727-100, but I think you would have been more likely to see an ArrowJet than a Mainliner

Actually, I would agree with you and I would've been wrong. Since the correct answer is now so glaringly obvious, I'll go ahead and close LNK out. UA 727 is the plane we're looking for.
