I'm informed that I from time to time do snore. If you think I'm going to not sleep on the chance that it might disturb other passengers you are dreaming in technicolour. If you think waking me is a good solution think again.

Agree - with all those other categories - babies excepted - the appropriate intervention is to have a word with the passenger. Snoring isn't really any different.
