Skybed Conversions

VH-OJG returned to service early this week following a month in AVV having the Skybed upgrade. VH-OJF should now be down there starting its upgrade process.

To my knowlege, these are the last two of the 3-class OJ series to be upgraded. So only the Pacific fleet of 3-class to go, including the remaining ER's and ugly sisters, and they are to get the 64J configuration.

Also some remaining A333's to be done and slotted onto international ops. Then I guess they can start the 2-class 744's. It will be interesting to see how many Skybeds the 2-class get. I am assuming it will be 68, being 22 upper deck, 28 in zone B (same as Kangaroo config), and 18 zone A (3 rows od 2x2 plus 1 row of 2x2x2).

Oh yes, and at the same time, AVV still has to upgrade the 2 stored 743's as well as VH-EBU. So things are still going to be busy down there for a while yet.
