This sounds like AY didn’t have many (on corona terms must be 1-2-3..?) pax to OUL and they just axed the flight and let someone else to pick up the tab for the taxi rides. All in all, if we consider AY=government (which it is not but anyway..) this was most likely the cheapest solution overall. Winner, the taxi company/driver - Loser, the passenger.
