Hello - I've been trying to read through all of the posts on this thread but not sure what the current situation is.
I live in Hong Kong and I bought 4 x Premium Economy round-trip tickets from Auckland to Papeete at NZ$7000 total - for a family trip in late June 2020.
I got an email on 7 April saying that my flights have been cancelled due to COVID-19 and they will process a credit. I thought that was crediting my credit card with the money - i.e. a refund!
Just realised that it's not a refund. What should I do? The fare is non-refundable.
I want a refund as there's no chance of us flying AKL-PPT anytime in the next few years, and no wish to fly Air NZ from HKG to AKL.
I called Air NZ and they said I cannot get a refund as it's a non-refundable ticket. Any ideas on how I can proceed?
