We have pretty much been given free reign by BA system to book any seat in economy, including the 2 seat near the rear of the aircraft. As it stands, I have chosen seats 20A and B as they have a bulkhead for a bassinet/seat, obviously the risk is that a stranger sits in 20C.

Are these the best seats in Economy? They are the only ones highlighted Green on seatguru? Or should we switch to the rear of the Aircraft and have the seats where its no stranger sitting next to us, but our 11 month old on our laps?

Does 20A have a window too, or is it misaligned?

Thanks!
I have flown in row 20 on one of the refurbished 777s at LGW. I have to say that I do not enjoy the refurbished 777s from LGW because of the seat width (being broad shouldered I must infuriate my neighbour!) but being in row 20 is probably the best choice, simply because of the extra leg room as a result of the bulkhead.

I have never travelled with a child so I cannot comment on that, but I would have thought that taking the bassinet seats (all of which are in row 20) would be the best idea, I am not sure how pleasant the 10+hr flight would be with your son if he wasn't able to sleep in the bassinet. That way you and your wife can get some rest too.

Edit: For what it is worth, it is better to avoid SeatGuru at least for BA. Their data is quite often out of date or inaccurate. TheBASource.com is much better.
