If I remember correctly, Treasure Island is an independently owned casino which is probably why they are considering opening. Will be interesting to see if they actually make this date. I know the mayor isn't going to stop them Perhaps the governor will by extending the shutdown.
The mayor isn't going to stop them because she has no power to stop them. TI, along with all the Strip casinos, are not in the city of Las Vegas.
