Tried a couple times on my regular Amex Bonvoy (former Starwood Card), no AF waive available, no retention offers, also not possible to product change to anything else outside of Bonvoy cards.
Had this card for over 10 years, really want to avoid closing the card with that history that long. Don't think keeping it for Amex offers @ $95 AF is worth it, but the 10 year history is giving me pause.
