Finally, a topic that has motivated me to register and post after months of lurking!

I've been an EC U.S. member for six years, having first been attracted to the program due to the Household Account feature and because BA was the only carrier offering UK-direct flights from my San Diego home.

I accumulate miles principally from 3 sources: the BA Visa, domestic flights on A.A and America West, and Diner's Club's annual 2 for 1 promotion. I've used miles for 1st class travel on A.A. and CW on BA. I currently have 260,000 miles. When they're expended, I'll be leaving BA and EC for good, as life is too short to put up with the utter incompetence I've come to dread with each EC contact.

MISSING DOMESTIC MILES: I'd wager only about half of the domestic miles I'm clearly entitled to have posted in the past few years. I've attempted online request for missing miles, using the form provided on the website. No reponse. I've written clear, concise letters, AND HAVE INCLUDED BOARDING PASSES THEREWITH. No response. I've written more letters, referencing the prior letters. No response. Finally, of course, (perhaps BA designs it this way), I've just given up, as the missing miles are simply not worth the aggravation. BA still owes me around 25,000 miles and I'm prepared to move on with their still owing me these miles.

THE EC WEBSITE: Must have been designed/maintained by an incompetent or a masochist. Nowhere on the Web have I seen a site that's harder to navigate, more poorly referenced nor more utterly useless than this. Self-serving pages promoting BA are easy to find. But meat and potatoes pages such as Award levels needed for travel are cleverly hidden.

Several D grades were awarded above. But this being barely passing, sorry, I can't concur. F!
