Was booked Rar to Akl in J and NZ changed plane and put us in works deluxe. Flight not what we wanted so asked to change to following week and happy to then go WD as long as kept J luggage. That would be fine, $178 more please! We had paid total $1588 for original booking, WD on day we happy to fly was $710 each so total $1410. Asked why the extra, it was because the difference in WD fare between when they changed us to and when we wanted to go was $178. No way could follow their reasoning. So then called NZ and they actually wanted even more, but long story short, eventually got change at no extra. Told they would waive change fees and contact centre fee on this occasion.
Put another fare a credit and told 350 days to use, do the contact Center not read NZ changes or are they so robotic they just ignore any changes.
