TG will never shut down, otherwise who will transport the king to/from Germany for partying, it will probably in the future though look more like Air Zimbabwe, with a few token routes so it has legitimacy of being an airline but primarily function to serve the needs of Thai government officials, rather than being a top-tier airline and rival to SQ, as the government doesn't care to give it enough money to transform, just to survive enough to have planes and fly to some places. TG also pays wages that are way too high for Thailand and employs a lot of people who do nothing, but hey, the relatives of government officials need jobs, right? SA could actually be done this time, I don't think the government will let AI die but if it does, I imagine Vistara would join *A so not too much lost, and Vistara is a much better airline than AI anyway.
