One of my best rentals ever was a Peugeot 508 SW (Estate) in GVA (from Sixt)--quiet, tons of power for the autobahn, good fuel economy. I also really liked the Buick Regal I got in MCO (everything you need and nothing overly complicated) and the Cadillac XTS. I haven't had the best luck with the Mercedes and Jaguars I've gotten in the US--often something goes wrong halfway through the rental (the check engine light comes on or a tire slowly starts to leak). Not sure what it is but it seems like I'll stick with the US cars in the US and save European cars for Europe (definitely liked my Mercedes upgrade to a series C coupe several years ago in ZAG).

Worst cars are anything that shakes or has poor alignment. Gotten a few of those over the years but don't remember the specific makes or models besides one Altima. And the afore-mentioned European luxury cars with problems.
