I've never seen a tech stop on YYC-IAH. When IAH gets backed up due to weather, the AC flight from YYC is early on the chopping block to divert because it's an RJ, but just having to do a tech stop under otherwise normal conditions, I can't recall ever seeing that.

The bottom line is it really shouldn't be on routes that long, either YYC<>IAH or YVR<>ORD, but sadly we're stuck with it.
