I just called on their UK number about my cancelled LHR-AKL flight and got through almost imediately. The agent said we've "issued a credit but you are also eligible for a refund if you prefer" without me prompting. I took the refund which included my seat booking fee. She warned there was a delay of 8-10 weeks on processing refunds. I didn't think there was much point arguing about this.
