So after getting nowhere with 3 different consultants and 3 supervisors on the phone
I emailed !flightcomment 2 weeks ago telling them how disappointed I was with AirNZ
I also explain why a credit wouldn’t work for our family.
I then filed a complaint with DOT
on Monday 20/4 I got a reply to say $600 fees still apply per person and how they have to be fair to everyone.
I replied straight away telling them I have lodged a complaint with DOT and DOT will be contacting them soon
30mins later, no apology but a reply saying we will process your full refund today
Today 23/4 I finally got my refund receipts
I have also received an response from DOT who confirmed my situation falls under their department rules and they have sent air nz an email asking them to refund me
( I am a NZ citizen living in Australia )
So keep trying everyone !
