I have two flights NZ 2/1 via LAX in September / October - time will tell if it is logistically possible, but I have been told informally that NZ will do a code-share and that as things currently stand there are 3 possible flights leaving / arriving within 90mins to 180mins in both directions which are possible and they wouldn't be using a B787 all the way through, but it all depends on the next few months and what travel restrictions are etc.
