At the moment, BA will stretch the balance due date to three weeks before the outbound flight. As a data point, I got a text to this effect for a holiday to Cyprus - was due to fly tomorrow - got that text on 26th March. Eventually the cancellation should come and another text - then you can opt for a voucher or a refund. I got the refund of my deposit to my CC on 14th April.
