Does anyone know if I can get the cash refund and how. Nobody wants to take calls unless< 72 hours before scheduled flight
I went to the Orbitz site and found my itinerary under history, it said I have an airline credit.
I called what I though was the Orbitz number. (On the Orbitz page)
After about 25 minutes on hold, I was told it was the Expedia number, and they'd have to transfer me. (to 844-663-2266)
They transferred me, and only .about a 3 minute wait.
Gave the woman my info, said I should be getting refund rather credit. She went off to talk with someone (supervisor?) and came back and said could only offer credit.
I said this was unacceptable. British Airways offers refunds.
She then said she would refer it to someone who would, offline, talk to BA about this, and I should get an email in 7-10 days telling me the result.
I also clarified that the refund is only for travel through Orbitz on BA, which sucks. (As if I want to use Orbitz again)!
If they are not positively responsive, I will request a chargeback on my credit card through the credit card company, which likely won't work.
