Since the price difference between these two offerings is $276, it seems that it's cheaper for me to just purchase the Basic offering and pay the extra $50 for seat selection (which I want) than to purchase the Standard. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my plan?
There is also a difference in the change and refund fee.
I would just buy the Basic PE too. Save the $50 and book seat at 48 hours. Keep checking the seat map, plane may not be full on your dates.
