I'm seriously considering jumping ship on
ten years of Android and buying the new SE to replace my original Pixel.
As Android phones have segregated farther and farther into nice $700+ phones and $150 burner-quality phone-like objects, the only real thing left in the middle is the Pixel "a" phones. And the 4a is going to be even bigger than the 3a. Sure, there's the S10e that can be had for $400ish now that it's a bit old, but the only mobile software I hate more than iOS is TouchWiz.
Apple has mostly caught up on the camera front and has completely blown away any Android phone worth using when it comes to battery life. And the walls of the sandbox are a bit lower than they used to be (third party keyboards, partial dialer integration for messaging apps, etc.) I'm still going to immediately delete Apple Maps like I have on all my work iPhones, though.

I would totally buy that. But I don't think it'd be $400.
