Wait. Wouldn't a request to change the bank account associated with someone's Chase account, or redeeming to a secondary account, trigger the mother of all identity verifications? (One would hope so, anyway.) Not to mention Chase doing trial deposits (a few cents) into that secondary bank account to verify it? Especially when the redemption is for 100k's of UR points?!
RNE, aghast at Chase.
You must have never redeemed UR pts to cash.
Pretty much you confuse the cash redemption with the normal banking external account linkage.
The redemption is done on UR portal which is in another world if you would view it this way.
At redemption, there is NOTHING to do with your existing linked external bank accounts. NONE. You enter the bank info as if it never ever been linked to your Chase account (whether with the banking side or the card side.)
The bank account for the direct deposit redemption is ONE TIME USE, for THIS Redemption Only. It has absolutely nothing to do with whatever existing external account at all.
In fact, it does not even recognize the Chase own bank account, assuming you have one.
Redemption has NO test deposit at all.
