Hi all. I've had my BA Amex 241 booking cancelled for May 15th on BA281 to LAX. I had booked First out and Business back. I tried rebooking a couple of weeks ago and was told to sit tight and let them cancel it and I'd be able to rebook for a later for free, and they'd open up seats if no Avois availability. I tried to rebook just now and was told I could rebook within 14 days of original flight and they'd open up seats, but if I wanted to go later in the year there would need to be Avios availability. Which agent was correct?
2nd agent. If rebooking 3 days before or 14 days after you can be rebooked into any fare class, after that it's got to be in same class as current booking, unless you are travelling before 1 August then j think the general covid policy allows rebooking in any class but can't be 100% on that as not had enough coffee so far
