Avios rebooking options after flight cancelled.
Hi all. I've had my BA Amex 241 booking cancelled for May 15th on BA281 to LAX. I had booked First out and Business back. I tried rebooking a couple of weeks ago and was told to sit tight and let them cancel it and I'd be able to rebook for a later for free, and they'd open up seats if no Avois availability. I tried to rebook just now and was told I could rebook within 14 days of original flight and they'd open up seats, but if I wanted to go later in the year there would need to be Avios availability. Which agent was correct?
