The semicolon would be more useful than the period. I could also add in a bunch of parentheses and other punctuation symbols.
Now, please pray for my run-on and various other grammar sins to be absolved, for my intent and work was to quickly get the correct message out even as I violated the cardinal rules of those who would crucify bad grammar.

The US travel bans also allows for foreign spouses and the like of US citizens to enter the US. And they could even get married in the US, whether that is in the plan or not. Is there also a substantial chance of such a trip to the US being frustrated by the US? Yes. Guaranteed denial of entry? No.
