Perhaps hfly can confirm, but I expect he refers to the thread where you speculated that
As DOT figures show however, some or all US carriers made a profit from in every year from 1995 to 2000. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to suggest now with the notion that these numbers were "illusionary" -- your previous assertion was entirely unsupported by facts. Note furthermore that DOT data I found only goes back to 1995, I wonder if no major turned a profit from 1980 to 1995. [NW also made a profit in 1994, fwiw.]
I find the idea that current economic conditions are a time of "normal operating profits, margins and expectations" a bit far fetched, but then again I'm no shareholder.
