Which is why I find the continuing push-the-envelope behavior by some here both reckless and short-sighted. Make changes when appropriate only if they are really needed, better yet with little or no human intervention, and only when they are consistent with the fare rules, not for the purpose of tinkering around the margins. It shouldn’t be a contest to see who can push DL/KL/AF’s patience and goodwill too far before ruining things for everybody.
Tenere and others, please read this and *understand* that we have seen literally dozens of these kinds of fares over the years and airlines do NOT have to keep the flexible rules as-is; in fact, many airlines summarily cancel ALL of the tickets, or suddenly announce "no changes-- refund or fly as ticketed". Do you understand THAT is why so many of us urge caution in trying to get more more more more out of these tickets?
