IHG Corp issued new advice (extension of cancel of ADR bookings) last weekend, but worryingly in a muddy the waters way
First Statement Quicky withdrawn )Issued a standard extension, similar terms to that of the previous/first relaxation . However this was then very quickly withdrawn (just up for 1 day)
Second Statement replaced first statement) IHG withdrew and reissued new extension waiver for cancelling earklier booked ADR's. The important difference is the IHG text instead said hotels may choose to issue ADR room credits in the form of voucher (ie credit) against a future stay at the hotel unstead of refunding the advance payment to the used credit-card.

It would not sruprise me that if hotel has low occupancy staying open even with minimum staff, using only 1-2 floors etc is not profitable, and the GM has to close their hotel. If such hotel is closed then no-one is working to process refunds !
